We’re here to nurture your preferences, respect your birth plan, and provide immediate access to medical support if needed —giving you both peace of mind and a sense of empowerment.

Labor is dynamic, and so are you. We encourage you to move, change positions, and follow what feels right for your body. Whether you prefer water labor for its soothing properties, or would like an epidural, we’ll help you explore your pain management options so you can focus on welcoming your baby in comfort. Wireless and intermittent fetal monitoring are also available for low-risk labors.

Your Birth Team Matters

We believe in a collaborative approach, where midwives, nurses, and physicians, work together in support of your birth experience. Doulas are a welcomed addition to your birth team, without the stress of any unnecessary "doula agreements" in place. When everyone is on the same page about honoring your choices and caring for your well-being, you can truly relax into the important moments.

Midwife Kim and Prattville Midwifery are "in-network" with many insurances for hospital deliveries - including Alabama Medicaid.

If you would like to verify your insurance coverage for your birth in the hospital with Midwife Kim, please fill out the form at the link below. There is a $25 fee to verify your benefits. You will receive a document called a "verification of benefits" from our billing department and it will outline any out-of-pocket expenses you can expect.
